  A16 is the real deal for outdoor, travel and adventure gear. While the Solana Beach location is much smaller than the corporate outdoor stores (REI cough cough), they have a surprisingly large selection of gear to choose from and the products that they do stock are usually exactly what I'm looking for. Pricing is right in line with the corporate stores/ online retailers (which was totally unexpected given the location) or even better if you happen to catch a sale. The staff also knows their products very well and are more than willing to spend time with you to make sure your questions are answered and you find what you're looking for. Support your local outdoor shop!
